fizi is a platform that makes available products from stores near your route, making just a quick detour and picking up your order in a “Pit Stop” that takes just a few seconds.
The idea came out as a personal need to get (buy) some goods while driving and also observing some businesses in the route but not accessible due to lack of time a/o parking space. What would happen if some of those businesses knew that I was on my way and they would be waiting for my arrival, so transaction would not take more than a few seconds?
The need for this type of delivery was observed and it became clear that there may be some demand for this type of service. People that are in a hurry, do not want to park or find it hard to get a parking space, are willing to deviate a couple of blocks from their route as long as the goods are there by the time they approach the business.
This sparked the realization that a lot of these stores were micro-entrepreneurs that are not outside the digital grid and represent the majority of the economy, mainly in developing countries. They are not digital but they are connected by a mobile phone, to a smart phone in most cases.
